The work Figures in an enchanted Garden by Charles Sims was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in April 2000. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,057.50 (€ 1,810.40), 51% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Sims achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In Elysium in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 36,000.00 (€ 53,428.51).

Die Arbeit Figures in an enchanted Garden von Charles Sims wurde im April 2000 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.057,50 (€ 1.810,40) und damit 51% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Sims erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In Elysium im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 36.000,00 (€ 53.428,51).
