Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The garden of the Hesperides by Charles Sims was sold in the The Neil Wilson Collection: A Romantic Vision auction at Christies in London in September 2014. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,766.11) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Sims achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In Elysium in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 36,000.00 (€ 53,428.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The garden of the Hesperides von Charles Sims wurde im September 2014 in der Auktion The Neil Wilson Collection: A Romantic Vision bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.766,11) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Sims erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In Elysium im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 36.000,00 (€ 53.428,51).
