The work The Theatre Is Your Looking Glass by Charles Shepherd was sold in the Travel and Vintage Posters auction at Christies in London in November 2010. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,240.62), 56% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Charles Shepherd; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Golden Arrow, Pullman sold at auction in November 2012 with the realized price of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,311.64).

Die Arbeit The Theatre Is Your Looking Glass von Charles Shepherd wurde im November 2010 in der Auktion Travel and Vintage Posters bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.240,62) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Charles Shepherd; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Golden Arrow, Pullman im November 2012 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.311,64).
