Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2002 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work Uncle Toby and Corporal Trun by Charles Robert Leslie. The price achieved of GBP 587.50 (€ 965.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Robert Leslie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sancho Panza in the Apartment of the Duchess in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 14,340.00 (€ 20,935.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit Uncle Toby and Corporal Trun von Charles Robert Leslie zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 587,50 (€ 965,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Robert Leslie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sancho Panza in the Apartment of the Duchess im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.340,00 (€ 20.935,95).
