Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2005 Christies in London held the auction IMPORTANT PORTRAIT MINIATURES AND OBJECTS OF VERTU, which included the work A Young Gentleman, In Black Coat With Covered Buttons, White Striped Pale Green Waistcoat And Knotted Cravat, Forward Combed Curly Light Brown Hair; Foliate Background by Charles Pierre Cior. It changed hands for a price of GBP 780.00 (€ 1,131.38) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00.
