Auction result well in line with expectations
The work London Transport. Walton, Twickhenham And Windsor by Charles Pears was sold in the Vintage Posters Online auction at Bonhams in February this year. The price achieved of GBP 1,083.75 (€ 1,236.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Pears achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mauretania in May 2019 with an auction result of GBP 38,812.00 (€ 43,932.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit London Transport. Walton, Twickhenham And Windsor von Charles Pears wurde im Februar diesen Jahres in der Auktion Vintage Posters Online bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.083,75 (€ 1.236,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Pears erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mauretania im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.812,00 (€ 43.932,86).
