The work Launching of the Empress of Scotland by Charles Pears was auctioned at Bonhams in April this year. It achieved a price of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 11,624.67), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 70%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Pears - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mauretania, which sold at auction in May 2019 for GBP 38,812.00 (€ 43,932.86).

Die Arbeit Launching of the Empress of Scotland von Charles Pears kam im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 10.200,00 (€ 11.624,67) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 70%. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Pears mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mauretania beobachtet, die im Mai 2019 für GBP 38.812,00 (€ 43.932,86) versteigert wurde.
