Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of AUD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 16,800.00 (€ 9,877.05). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Meere - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australian The Viaduct, Dinan (Also Known As Dinan Sur La Rance) , which sold at auction in August 2007 for AUD 43,200.00 (€ 25,832.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Australian Bridge Scene von Charles Meere kam im August 2009 bei Sothebys in Melbourne zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 16.800,00 (€ 9.877,05) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Meere mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Australian The Viaduct, Dinan (Also Known As Dinan Sur La Rance) beobachtet, die im August 2007 für AUD 43.200,00 (€ 25.832,59) versteigert wurde.
