Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2001 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction MARITIME PICTURES, MODELS AND EPHEMERA INCLUDING GLOBES, which included the work A paddle steamer heading for sea by Louis Verboeckhoven. The price achieved of EUR 4,700.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,600.00 – 5,500.00. Admittedly, works by Louis Verboeckhoven have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Calm: Sailingvessels In An Estuary At Dusk ; A Storm: Sailing Vessels Approaching A Harbour in June 2001 with an auction result of NLG 76,375.00 (€ 36,709.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2001 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion MARITIME PICTURES, MODELS AND EPHEMERA INCLUDING GLOBES durch, in der auch die Arbeit A paddle steamer heading for sea von Louis Verboeckhoven zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 4.700,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.600,00 – 5.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Verboeckhoven auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Calm: Sailingvessels In An Estuary At Dusk ; A Storm: Sailing Vessels Approaching A Harbour im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 76.375,00 (€ 36.709,39).
