Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work A Double Sided Sheet Of Studies, Probably For A Deposition Recto: Two Head Studies And A Figure Study Verso: A Study Of A Man On A Ladder by Charles Le Brun for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 17,720.80). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & British Drawings at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Charles Le Brun have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Head of a boy in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 204,000.00 (€ 149,341.14).

Im Juli 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Double Sided Sheet Of Studies, Probably For A Deposition Recto: Two Head Studies And A Figure Study Verso: A Study Of A Man On A Ladder von Charles Le Brun für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 17.720,80) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Le Brun auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Head of a boy im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 204.000,00 (€ 149.341,14).
