Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tintern Abbey by Charles R. Knight was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2007. It changed hands for a price of GBP 660.00 (€ 980.25) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles R. Knight - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Seated Puma, which sold at auction in September 2002 for USD 3,346.00 (€ 3,386.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tintern Abbey von Charles R. Knight kam im Juli 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 660,00 (€ 980,25) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles R. Knight mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Seated Puma beobachtet, die im September 2002 für USD 3.346,00 (€ 3.386,98) versteigert wurde.
