In the Important Portrait Miniatures and Gold Boxes auction, the work Anna Aleksandrovna Obol'ianinova, née Ermolaeva (1754-1822), in white dress, red belt, gold necklaces, a red stole over her shoulders, a red ribbon in upswept hair, wearing the badge of the Imperial Russian order of St. Catherine at her left breast; sold for GBP 8,750 (€ 12,252) - well above the uppe Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Charles-Joseph de la Celle; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot sold at auction in June 2018 with the realized price of GBP 12,500 (€ 14,127).
