This artwork by Charles-Joseph de la Celle achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2007. In the Important Portrait Miniatures and Gold Boxes auction, the work A young noblewoman, in mint-green dress with fur collar, wearing the badge of the Bavarian Ladies Order of St. Elizabeth, a fur muff on her left arm, long curling hair sold for GBP 5,250 (€ 7,351) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Charles-Joseph de la Celle; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot sold at auction in June 2018 with the realized price of GBP 12,500 (€ 14,127).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75% übertroffen

In der Auktion Important Portrait Miniatures and Gold Boxes wurde die Arbeit A young noblewoman, in mint-green dress with fur collar, wearing the badge of the Bavarian Ladies Order of St. Elizabeth, a fur muff on her left arm, long curling hair für GBP 5.250 (€ 7.351) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Charles-Joseph de la Celle; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit im Juni 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 12.500 (€ 14.127).
