In June 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Front Cover Design For Walter Carroll'S Water Sprites: A Piano Score For Children by Charles James Folkard. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,521.18), 72% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles James Folkard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Illustrations to Richard Harris Barham's Jackdaw of Rheims: All a-whisper; Bearing gifts; In a hurry; and An uncomfortable shoe (two illustrated), which sold at auction in December 2005 for GBP 2,640.00 (€ 3,831.81).

Im Juni 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Front Cover Design For Walter Carroll'S Water Sprites: A Piano Score For Children von Charles James Folkard zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.521,18) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles James Folkard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Illustrations to Richard Harris Barham's Jackdaw of Rheims: All a-whisper; Bearing gifts; In a hurry; and An uncomfortable shoe (two illustrated) beobachtet, die im Dezember 2005 für GBP 2.640,00 (€ 3.831,81) versteigert wurde.
