Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Charles Henry Ebert could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work Along The Lieutenant River, Old Lyme changed hands for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,792.25) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Henry Ebert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hamburg Cove, which sold at auction in September 2012 for USD 22,500.00 (€ 17,501.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Henry Ebert konnte im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture wechselte die Arbeit Along The Lieutenant River, Old Lyme für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.792,25) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Henry Ebert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hamburg Cove beobachtet, die im September 2012 für USD 22.500,00 (€ 17.501,56) versteigert wurde.
