Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures Part II, which included the work Portrait Of A Lady, Circa 1795 by Charles Hénard. The price achieved of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 5,764.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Other works by Charles Hénard have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2008 the work A young lady, in white dress with lace trim with garland of pink flowers draped over her right shoulder and another tied around her right arm at the elbow, blue ribbon tied with a bow at her right shoulder, loose powdered hair dressed 'à la conseill was auctioned for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,480.25).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 5.764,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden.
