Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2011 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Sunset over the town by the lake by Charles Harry Eaton. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,125.00 (€ 1,540.64). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Harry Eaton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Autumn Brook, which sold at auction in September 2005 for USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,975.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar 2011 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sunset over the town by the lake von Charles Harry Eaton zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.125,00 (€ 1.540,64) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Harry Eaton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Autumn Brook beobachtet, die im September 2005 für USD 6.000,00 (€ 4.975,95) versteigert wurde.
