A top price for Charles George Copeland - as previously expected
In November 2002 Christies in Los Angeles held the auction CALIFORNIA, WESTERN AND AMERICAN PAINTINGS, which included the work Cowboys at Work by Charles George Copeland. The price achieved of USD 4,182.50 (€ 4,211.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Cowboys at Work is the most expensive artwork by Charles George Copeland that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im November 2002 führte Christies in Los Angeles die Auktion CALIFORNIA, WESTERN AND AMERICAN PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cowboys at Work von Charles George Copeland zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.182,50 (€ 4.211,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Cowboys at Work das teuerste Kunstwerk von Charles George Copeland, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
