In December 2017 Christies in London held the auction Victorian Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Six Studies Of 'The Virtues' Including: Justice; Fortitude; Trust; Prudence; And Temperance by Charles Fairfax Murray. The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,125.35) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Fairfax Murray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The four seasons in September 2016 with an auction result of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,924.21).
