The work United Nations Building by Charles Ernest Cundall was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Sothebys in London in December 2010. It achieved a price of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,424.98), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 63%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Ernest Cundall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Cup Tie At Crystal Palace, Corinthians V Manchester City in December this year with an auction result of GBP 127,400.00 (€ 146,759.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 63 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit United Nations Building von Charles Ernest Cundall wurde im Dezember 2010 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.424,98) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 63%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Ernest Cundall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Cup Tie At Crystal Palace, Corinthians V Manchester City im Dezember diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 127.400,00 (€ 146.759,92).
