Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work New York Harbour by Charles Ernest Cundall. The price achieved of GBP 12,750.00 (€ 14,857.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Ernest Cundall have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Cup Tie At Crystal Palace, Corinthians V Manchester City in December this year with an auction result of GBP 127,400.00 (€ 146,759.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit New York Harbour von Charles Ernest Cundall zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.750,00 (€ 14.857,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Ernest Cundall auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Cup Tie At Crystal Palace, Corinthians V Manchester City im Dezember diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 127.400,00 (€ 146.759,92).
