Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2008 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work The Duomo, Assisi by Charles Ernest Cundall. The price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,146.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Ernest Cundall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Cup Tie At Crystal Palace, Corinthians V Manchester City in December this year with an auction result of GBP 127,400.00 (€ 146,759.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Duomo, Assisi von Charles Ernest Cundall zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 7.146,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Ernest Cundall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Cup Tie At Crystal Palace, Corinthians V Manchester City im Dezember diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 127.400,00 (€ 146.759,92).
