In November 2021 Christies in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work July Evening by Charles Ephraim Burchfield. The »bidding war« ended at USD 100,000.00 (€ 88,597.50), 43% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Ephraim Burchfield achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cherry Blossom Snow in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 1,812,500.00 (€ 1,553,127.68).

Im November 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit July Evening von Charles Ephraim Burchfield zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 88.597,50) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Ephraim Burchfield erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cherry Blossom Snow im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.812.500,00 (€ 1.553.127,68).
