Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fables: The Eagle and The Fox by Charles Ephraim Burchfield was auctioned at Bonhams in Paris in May this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,560.00 (€ 2,402.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Ephraim Burchfield achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cherry Blossom Snow in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 1,812,500.00 (€ 1,553,127.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fables: The Eagle and The Fox von Charles Ephraim Burchfield kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.560,00 (€ 2.402,85) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
