Artwork auctioned at seven times the upper estimate price
The work At the trough by Charles Émile Jacque was worth GBP 4,410.00 (€ 4,987.10) to a buyer in January 2021. This price was achieved in the auction Royal & Noble at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 600.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Émile Jacque achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Shepherdess with her Flock near a Stream in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 105,000.00 (€ 124,186.87).
