Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Shepherdess and Her Sheep by Charles Émile Jacque was sold in the Living With Art auction at Christies in New York in June 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 1,200,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,931.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Émile Jacque achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Shepherdess with her Flock near a Stream in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 105,000.00 (€ 124,186.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Shepherdess and Her Sheep von Charles Émile Jacque wurde im Juni 2016 in der Auktion Living With Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.931,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Émile Jacque erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Shepherdess with her Flock near a Stream im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 105.000,00 (€ 124.186,87).
