Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Charles Edward Wilson could be acquired at Sothebys in London in March 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work Young Harvest Girl changed hands for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,355.47) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Edward Wilson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Home Sweet Home in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 15,600.00 (€ 23,149.62).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Edward Wilson konnte im März 2008 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and Continental Pictures wechselte die Arbeit Young Harvest Girl für GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.355,47) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Edward Wilson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Home Sweet Home im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.600,00 (€ 23.149,62).
