Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2000 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work View of the San Marco, Venice from the Laguna at sunset by Charles Dankmeijer. The price achieved of NLG 2,340.40 (€ 1,028.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as NLG 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Dankmeijer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work De Lekpoort, Vianen: city gate by the river Lek, which sold at auction in February 2004 for EUR 3,107.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2000 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit View of the San Marco, Venice from the Laguna at sunset von Charles Dankmeijer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von NLG 2.340,40 (€ 1.028,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit NLG 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Dankmeijer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit De Lekpoort, Vianen: city gate by the river Lek beobachtet, die im Februar 2004 für EUR 3.107,00 versteigert wurde.
