Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Charles Dankmeijer could be acquired at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'. auction, the work Still life with fruit, plates and jugs changed hands for EUR 937.50 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,200.00 – 1,600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Dankmeijer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work De Lekpoort, Vianen: city gate by the river Lek, which sold at auction in February 2004 for EUR 3,107.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Dankmeijer konnte im September 2008 bei Christies in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'. wechselte die Arbeit Still life with fruit, plates and jugs für EUR 937,50 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.200,00 – 1.600,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Dankmeijer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit De Lekpoort, Vianen: city gate by the river Lek beobachtet, die im Februar 2004 für EUR 3.107,00 versteigert wurde.
