Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2009 a collector was able to acquire the work British Coaching And Travel: Two Works by Charles Cooper Henderson for USD 15,000.00 (€ 10,166.05). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art including Important British Paintings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Charles Cooper Henderson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ascot Races: Arriving; and Returning in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 42,500.00 (€ 54,061.86).
