Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A coach and four on a country road; and A coach with outrider by Charles Cooper Henderson was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2008. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,593.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Cooper Henderson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ascot Races: Arriving; and Returning in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 42,500.00 (€ 54,061.86).
