In March 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work The Courtship by Charles Christian Nahl. The auction ended at the price of USD 12,000.00 (€ 8,972.63), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Other works by Charles Christian Nahl have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January last year the work Lady with a Parrot was auctioned for USD 17,640.00 (€ 15,733.14).
