Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Apples, grapes and a plum, on a mossy bank by Charles Archer was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 822.50 (€ 1,327.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Archer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Grapes, plums, raspberries, and a peach, on a mossy bank, which sold at auction in September 2001 for GBP 2,702.50 (€ 4,363.38).

Die Arbeit Apples, grapes and a plum, on a mossy bank von Charles Archer kam im September 2001 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 822,50 (€ 1.327,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
