In December 2015 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work The Destruction Of The Palace Of Armida by Charles-Antoine Coypel. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 506,500.00 (€ 687,802.65), 69% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles-Antoine Coypel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roland And The Marriage Of Angelique, which sold at auction in January 2012 for USD 3,554,500.00 (€ 2,723,128.78).

Im Dezember 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Destruction Of The Palace Of Armida von Charles-Antoine Coypel zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 506.500,00 (€ 687.802,65) und damit 69% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles-Antoine Coypel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Roland And The Marriage Of Angelique beobachtet, die im Januar 2012 für USD 3.554.500,00 (€ 2.723.128,78) versteigert wurde.
