Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Artcurial held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Art, which included the work Etude de tête d'enfant by Charles-Antoine Coypel. It changed hands for a price of EUR 1,968.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles-Antoine Coypel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roland And The Marriage Of Angelique in January 2012 with an auction result of USD 3,554,500.00 (€ 2,723,128.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Artcurial die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Etude de tête d'enfant von Charles-Antoine Coypel zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 1.968,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles-Antoine Coypel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Roland And The Marriage Of Angelique im Januar 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.554.500,00 (€ 2.723.128,78).
