The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,426.74), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles-Antoine Coypel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roland And The Marriage Of Angelique in January 2012 with an auction result of USD 3,554,500.00 (€ 2,723,128.78).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.426,74) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
