Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pensée, Pauline by Chana Orloff was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2017. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,719.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chana Orloff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Torse in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 326,500.00 (€ 250,960.80).

Die Arbeit Pensée, Pauline von Chana Orloff kam im März 2017 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.719,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chana Orloff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Torse im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 326.500,00 (€ 250.960,80).
