Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Ritorno dai campi by Cesare Uva was auctioned at Christies in Rome in June 2004. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 2,900.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 3,100.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cesare Uva - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Girls watching Vesuvius erupt at the Bay of Naples; and A boy in a hay cart drawn by longhorn cattle, Vesuvius beyond, which sold at auction in October 2011 for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,943.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Ritorno dai campi von Cesare Uva kam im Juni 2004 bei Christies in Rom zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 2.900,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 3.100,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Cesare Uva mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Girls watching Vesuvius erupt at the Bay of Naples; and A boy in a hay cart drawn by longhorn cattle, Vesuvius beyond beobachtet, die im Oktober 2011 für GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.943,86) versteigert wurde.
