Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work The Madonna And Child Before A Green Curtain And A Window With A Mountainous River Landscape Beyond by Cesare Magni. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 106,250.00 (€ 98,089.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Cesare Magni have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Vierge À L'Enfant in November 2019 with an auction result of EUR 591,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Madonna And Child Before A Green Curtain And A Window With A Mountainous River Landscape Beyond von Cesare Magni zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 106.250,00 (€ 98.089,00) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cesare Magni auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Vierge À L'Enfant im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 591.800,00.
