This artwork by Cesare Magni achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in January 2013. In the Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni auction, the work Pietà sold for USD 170,500.00 (€ 125,515.31) - well above the upper estimate of USD 90,000.00. Admittedly, works by Cesare Magni have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Vierge À L'Enfant in November 2019 with an auction result of EUR 591,800.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Cesare Magni erzielte im Januar 2013 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni wurde die Arbeit Pietà für USD 170.500,00 (€ 125.515,31) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 90.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cesare Magni auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Vierge À L'Enfant im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 591.800,00.
