Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2002 Christies in Rome held the auction ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO, which included the work Profilo di donna, 1899 by Cesare Ciani. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,224.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Cesare Ciani have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2002 the work Giovane donna pensosa was auctioned for EUR 5,952.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2002 führte Christies in Rom die Auktion ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO durch, in der auch die Arbeit Profilo di donna, 1899 von Cesare Ciani zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.224,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Cesare Ciani konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2002 die Arbeit Giovane donna pensosa für EUR 5.952,00 versteigert.
