This artwork by Cecil Skotnes achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2011. In the Modern and Contemporary Australian Art with Works by 20th Century African Artists auction, the work without title sold for GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,459.28) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cecil Skotnes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shaka Zulu in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 43,825.00 (€ 39,308.46).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Cecil Skotnes erzielte im Oktober 2011 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Australian Art with Works by 20th Century African Artists wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.459,28) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cecil Skotnes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shaka Zulu im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 43.825,00 (€ 39.308,46).
