Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2002 Christies in London held the auction Twentieth Century British Art, which included the work Seated Lady with Red Ribbon by Cathleen Mann. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,410.00 (€ 2,304.98), 18% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cathleen Mann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Woman at the Fair, which sold at auction in December 2012 for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,474.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion Twentieth Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seated Lady with Red Ribbon von Cathleen Mann zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.410,00 (€ 2.304,98) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Cathleen Mann mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Woman at the Fair beobachtet, die im Dezember 2012 für GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.474,71) versteigert wurde.
