Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Caroline McNairn could be acquired at Christies in London in March 2000 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Precious Few changed hands for GBP 57.50 (€ 95.63) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by Caroline McNairn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Structure; and The Table in August 2005 with an auction result of GBP 420.00 (€ 613.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Caroline McNairn konnte im März 2000 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wechselte die Arbeit Precious Few für GBP 57,50 (€ 95,63) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Caroline McNairn auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Structure; and The Table im August 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 420,00 (€ 613,55).
