Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work #0250 Campana, Buenos Aires, RA, 2005; #0081 Castellarano, Reggio Emilia, IT, 2000 by Carlo Valsecchi was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 500.00 (€ 560.61). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlo Valsecchi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work # 0025 S. Giorgio di Nogaro, Udine, It in November 2006 with an auction result of EUR 9,920.00.
