Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Cows On A Path by Carlo Fornara was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in April 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 5,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 4,750.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlo Fornara achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Aratura In Argentina O La Conquista Della Terra ( Labourage En Argentine Ou La Conquête De La Terre) in June 2014 with an auction result of EUR 121,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Cows On A Path von Carlo Fornara im April 2019 bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 4.750,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carlo Fornara erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Aratura In Argentina O La Conquista Della Terra ( Labourage En Argentine Ou La Conquête De La Terre) im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 121.500,00.
