The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,472.00 74% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Carlo Follini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lo Stagno Nel Bosco in June 2008 with an auction result of EUR 18,750.00.

Die Arbeit Canale con barche von Carlo Follini wurde im Mai 2002 in der Auktion ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO - 19TH CENTURY ART bei Christies in Rom versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.472,00 und damit 74% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carlo Follini auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lo Stagno Nel Bosco im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 18.750,00.
