Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Il buttero by Carlo Domenici was auctioned at Il Ponte in April 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 750.00 – 800.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 700.00. Admittedly, works by Carlo Domenici have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Caccia in maremma in December 2003 with an auction result of EUR 3,968.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Il buttero von Carlo Domenici im April 2015 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 750,00 – 800,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 700,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carlo Domenici auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Caccia in maremma im Dezember 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 3.968,00.
