Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Cavalli in corsa by Carlo Domenici was auctioned at Il Ponte in November 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 350.00 – 400.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlo Domenici achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Caccia in maremma in December 2003 with an auction result of EUR 3,968.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Cavalli in corsa von Carlo Domenici im November 2020 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 350,00 – 400,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 300,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carlo Domenici erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Caccia in maremma im Dezember 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 3.968,00.
