Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Saint John The Evangelist by Carlo Dolci. The price achieved of USD 365,000.00 (€ 270,370.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. Other works by Carlo Dolci have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2018 the work Saint Agatha was auctioned for GBP 248,750.00 (€ 278,903.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Saint John The Evangelist von Carlo Dolci zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 365.000,00 (€ 270.370,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Carlo Dolci konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juli 2018 die Arbeit Saint Agatha für GBP 248.750,00 (€ 278.903,45) versteigert.
